World Quests

This page will serve as a compilation of the all available crier, grizzled adventurer, and Ogier stonemason quests throughout the world. It is currently under construction and will be updated over time. That is to say, as I explore the world and find all the criers. :)

Jath provided a bit of information about criers in the comments section, and I want to highlight it here because it's very useful. Each crier quest can be done five times, with diminishing rewards each time. He also suggested depositing coins in a bank, or at least concealing them in a purse or pack to discourage less than honest people from stealing them from you.

  1. You may wish to know that the Town Crier quests can each be done 5 (five) times. Those Criers, they keep notes and there is a short time when you hand over ("give {a single word that identifies the item} crier") where they make a show of checking their records before handing over the reward! The reward is a useful, for a beginner, but small quantity of gold coins (crowns) which decreases each time the particular task is completed. There are Town Criers in several of the Light Side towns each with their own different task. You will also be advised to deposit coins in a container such as a purse or for large amounts at a convenient Bank (one in most Towns and Cities) because in the game at large not everyone on the side of the Light is as honest as you may wish and rogue Player elements can see and steal things from your hands without you realising which they cannot do so easily if concealed in a container...

    1. That's really helpful to know! Thanks for sharing, Jath. I'll update this page with the relevant information.

  2. The "reward" as Jath notes, goes far beyond the coin. If you're in a pinch for money, the directions above are great, and I don't blame anyone for using them. I still encourage players to learn the rooms they are traveling in, so take your time finding some of these things yourself.

Good zone knowledge means a better escape if attacked in PK (Player Killing) which in turn means -keeping the coin- you already have on you. The cost and time spent re-equipping your kit and time spent in the circle vastly outweighs the meager coin you get from criers. Still, the directions above are a good springboard for learning zones. :)
